Today’s SEER typically range on a scale from 13 to 25, 25 being the most efficient, but also the most expensive. HVAC systems with higher SEER will cost you more upfront but can typically even out in the savings on your monthly utility bill. For example, a 12 to14 SEER system ranges between $2,500 – $6,000 and a 22 to 26 SEER system ranges from $6,000 – $11,000.
